The Entimessi Size Guide: How to Measure Yourself and Nail Your Fit Every Time

Finding your size online should feel easy, not like a guessing game. At Entimessi we make two kinds of fits, and once you know which one you are looking at, choosing a size gets much simpler:

  • Sized styles, offered in S to 2XL/XXL: classic and basic crew neck tees, oversized graphic tees, polos, cotton shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, joggers, sweatpants, shorts, loungewear sets and kurta sets.
  • Adjustable styles: our block print dresses, co-ords and cotton tops, which use tie-fronts, wrap fronts, halter ties and shirred elastic waists that flex around your body.

Here is a five-minute routine you can do at home before every order, plus fit-by-fit advice for each category.

Step 1: Grab a soft measuring tape

A tailor's tape is ideal. No tape? Wrap a piece of string or a phone charging cable around you, mark the meeting point, and measure it against a ruler. Measure over thin clothing or directly on your skin, standing relaxed (no sucking in).

Step 2: Take three key measurements

  • Chest / bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level under your arms and across your back. Breathe normally.
  • Waist: Find your natural waist, the narrowest point above your belly button. Keep one finger between the tape and your body so the fit is comfortable, not tight.
  • Hips: Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.

Write all three down in centimetres and keep them in your phone's notes app so every future order takes seconds, not minutes.

Step 3: Run the favourite-garment test

Your best-fitting clothes already know your size. Take the tee, kurta or pair of joggers you love most, lay it flat on a table, and measure it:

  • Tops and tees: Measure straight across from armpit to armpit and double it. That is the chest measurement your favourite fit gives you. Also note the shoulder-to-hem length.
  • Bottoms: Measure across the waistband and double it, then check the inseam from crotch to hem.

Compare these numbers with the fit notes on the product page before you pick a size.

Step 4: Choose by fit style

Classic & basic crew neck tees (regular fit, S–2XL)

These are unisex tees with a true, classic cut. Take your usual size. If you normally shop in women's sizes, a good rule of thumb is to go one size down for a similar fit.

Oversized graphic & classic oversized tees (S–2XL)

Our oversized tees are cut roomy on purpose, with dropped shoulders and a heavyweight 240 GSM cotton that drapes with structure. Take your usual size for the intended oversized look, or size down one if you want a cleaner, more regular fit.

Sweatshirts & hoodies (S–XXL)

These come in both regular and oversized versions, so read the product title and description first. Stay true to size for the fit that is listed.

Joggers, sweatpants & shorts (S–2XL)

Shop these by your waist and hip measurements. Drawstring and elastic waists give you room to fine-tune, so if you are between sizes, either size works, and your priority should be comfort through the hip and thigh.

Cotton shirts & polos (S–2XL)

Base your choice on your chest and shoulder measurements. The right size sits smoothly across the chest without the buttons pulling when you move.

Kurta sets (S–XXL)

Measure your bust and hips, then choose the size that fits your larger measurement. Kurta sets are cut to drape rather than cling, so a little ease looks better than a tight fit.

Block print dresses, co-ords & cotton tops (adjustable)

Most of these styles adjust to you: halter necks that tie behind the neck and back, wrap fronts, tie-fronts and shirred elastic waistbands. Focus less on a size label and more on the length and how you like the drape. Check the product description for how each piece fastens and adjusts.

Step 5: Between sizes? Use this rule

  • Prefer a closer, neater fit? Take the smaller size.
  • Prefer room to move, or plan to layer? Take the larger size.
  • Always read the fit notes in the product description one last time before checkout.

Keep the fit you bought

Cotton can relax or tighten slightly depending on how you wash it. Wash cold, skip high-heat drying and always follow the care label. Our wash and care guide walks you through a full routine.

Your 60-second pre-checkout checklist

  1. Chest, waist and hips measured and noted.
  2. Favourite-garment flat measurements compared.
  3. Fit type checked: regular, oversized or adjustable.
  4. Product description's fit notes read.
  5. Between sizes? Picked smaller for neat, larger for roomy.

Measure once, and every Entimessi order that follows is an easy yes.
